We’d like to know about your experience (as a grandparent) in providing regular childcare for your grandchildren.

This survey is open to all UK Gransnet users who have at least one grandchild aged 0-11.

Please note throughout the survey we refer to grandchildren but this also applies for a single grandchild. Please think about your grandchildren aged 0-11 only for this survey.

I have looked after my grand children every Tuesday and Thursday - and sometimes other tiems since their birth. The oldest is nearly 11 and the yougnest is just 6.
I have got close to my grand children and we have had fun - but it has also been tiring ....

The survey says to skip from Q6 to Q20 if you don't do grandchild care but it is not happy if you do what you are told. Some of my replies reflect that.

I found the survey was jumping all over the place. I would put my answer in, then try to go to the next question and the answer moved! I had to keep going back and fix it.

I started to fill in the survey but quickly realised that the questions were not applicable to me as my daughter and family live with me and that's a whole different ball game (as they say) altogether. I could write a book!

Did the questionnaire on behalf of my partner. I only do the childcare bit in the early morning, after school and holidays but there was nowhere to put that.we have had 2 grandchildren since birth and another 2 to stay for holidays.
