Do you have a repeat prescription? Sign up to test Echo by Lloyd’s Pharmacy and get it delivered for free

I was tempted to try as I already collect my prescriptions via a Lloyds pharmacy at my local Sainsbury, but not sure how delivery works. I get quite a large package each month so not sure if it would fit through the letterbox and I'm still working so often not home. On balance I think I'll keep collecting when I do my shopping.

I've signed up with Echo for a while now and they deliver my prescription to me free . They remind me to take my medication on a daily basis with notifications, and remind me when I'm getting low on certain items from my prescription and I should order them. Great service!

I use Lloyds for repeat prescriptions which I collect from the pharmacy. I've found them faultless so far.

All my ostomy supplies are handled, brilliantly by a specialist company. They remind me when they think I may need a new prescription, then check what I need, from then onwards they take over, sort out with GP surgery and then deliver to me, also include free wipes and disposal bags. They also have the facility that if I away from home and need supplies they will deliver anywhere I am in the UK. They will also supply in advance of receiving a repeat prescription from the GP in any sort of emergency - which has happened. They also have their own specalist nurse to advise if problems suddenly arise. There are a few of these specialist companies and they are wonderful.
For all my other repeat prescriptions I use a small, independent pharmacy just down the road to me. I send for repeat prescriptions from my surgery on line, and the pharmacy phones me as soon as there is anything waiting for me. They did offer to deliver when I first registered with them, but I am happy to collect as I go past on my mobility scooter. I love using local independent traders for as many things as I can. USE THEM OR LOSE THEM!!!

Candelle It’s a few years ago now but I got a phone call from someone saying they were ‘working with my GP practice’ to provide drug deliveries. I asked how they got my contact details & they said from the practice!
I knew that couldn’t possibly be true but emailed the practice anyway and they confirmed that they would never disclose patients’ details to any 3rd party.
I was livid that this company were undermining our local pharmacy in this way.
At the time several PCTs as they were then, sent out warning letters to patients.

I am so pleased that other GN-ers feel as I do... we need to support our local pharmacies.

There has already been a huge marketing exercise in so-called 'NHS' letters (mimicking NHS fonts etc) to lull people into signing up with that company to have their scripts delivered.

Many local pharmacies will deliver if one is really unable to collect so please ask (I have no connection with any pharmacy).

This is a cheap trick and I hope not too many people will sign up.

The old adage 'use it or lose it' comes to mind. Think of our internet use and how local banks have disappeared (well all four of mine have).

Do pharmacies charge the NHS for delivery ?

As I don't get prescriptions delivered I would be prepared to try out this service,we don't have any independent pharmacies input area now,they were all bought out by big companies

Lloyd’s is the worst of the pharmacies in the town I live in, so no thanks.

Unfortunately the Lloyd's Pharmacy in our village has a terrible track record and reputation and is avoided by most of us who can get to the independent pharmacy in the next town. So I wouldn't consider changing back to them, even with the lure of £5.00 if you're lucky.

I've signed up as I've used a competitors similar service which always had trouble communicating with my GP. See if this one is better.

Interesting Nannylovesshopping. So they get you to join their free service then they start charging you for it. Clever ploy I think and very devious of Lloyds. Fortunately I am very happy with the delivery service I get from a company in Leeds and wouldn't change anyway and definitely not for a measly £5.

Have to agree with the others, this in my opinion is a cheap marketing ploy and easy way for Lloyds to promote their service in the guise of a survey.

This company I have heard of But is 8 miles from where we live. Also I don't do "app" type things - sorry.

I have used Lloyd’s pharmacies for years and have just been informed by them they will no longer deliver prescriptions for free, they intend to charge everybody regardless of their circumstances.

I`m another who`s perfectly happy with my deliveries from a small local chemist.

And £5 is very stingy - even that's only to selected testers!

Not much of a reward for anyone tempted to mess with their normal ordering system.

Justine I think you should make it quite clear that other pharmacies are available.

I support my local small independent pharmacy who have delivered my repeat prescription very promptly (ie within hours of ordering it) ever since lockdown started.

I’m not sure it is ethical of Lloyd’s to attempt to lure people with a £5 amazon voucher away from pharmacies they already receive a good service from.
