This is my third Christmas without my husband and I was really thrown by the fact that I missed him much more than in previous years. I think the initial shock of his sudden passing is wearing off. I have three sons and three lovely grandchildren - but without "my bloke" it seemed very very empty and lonely this year.

sad

Brilliant Biker we could form a convey down those lovely country lanes. All the locals will becoming out to watch smile

For me it's the dusting fairy, I never see her. I'm thinking of giving her the sack and doing it myself.

bikergran Sat 02-May-15 10:07:13

Falcon I have come up with idea, you could travel with Ruby as she may be on her own Unless she is picking up others, I could travel behind in case you fall off! shock yes the sidecar is already fixed, Iv'e had it painted in camouflage colours so as to blend in if I took the back country roads,Ruby and yourself can hover above me and guide me along the way lead me astray more like it! grin not sure if anyone else is jumping aboard as I think I am carrying supplies, so you can put your handbag and essentials in the side car.ok bfn off to wash up, the washing up fairy hasn't been again! hmm

Oh dear, never been so popular. I don't know who to chose. I won't be bungy jumping off the Severn Bridge that's for sure. It's one scary bridge. Now I come to think of it there are two of them, one scary and one sensible. So whoever I chose for transport - I'll be waiting at the sensible one.

Are you giving anyone else a lift Biker? You would need a side car - now there's an idea, you could put the round table in there.

bikergran Sat 02-May-15 09:25:40

Falcon nooo....your coming with me ! your sitting in between the hay bales and balancing the round table on your head! I've blown the "whooopeee" cushion up for you to sit on grin you can travel back with Rubysong or we could travel in convoy (not sure that her carpet driving skills like) hmm hope she doesn't read this we may be better if we keep clear(especially if she has already started on the "vodka jellies" I have heard the od rumour! shock

Just checking AA route for Seventh Bridge, Hope your not bungee jumping before we get there Falcon I've told you about "hanging" around smile

Falconbird Sat 02-May-15 07:52:56

Hiya Rubysong

I'll be waiting on the Severn Bridge but if it's too windy for a pick up I'll be in the Services Car Park. I'll be in the one in the medieval get-up and M&S jacket in case it's chilly.

Do you have a cloak of invisibility device in case the police take exception to the magic rug. grin

rubysong Fri 01-May-15 13:55:06

Looking forward to it*Galen*. I will be arriving on my magic rag rug and can pick up anyone between the Tamar and Tintagel. I must sort out my flowing robes and a few bottles of mead. Can't think of any mediaeval nibbles so maybe Twiglets will do.

annodomini Fri 01-May-15 13:36:54

Go easy on the Vimto, biker. I'm going to put the vodka jellies in the fridge and might do some lollies as well. Roll on Monday!

bikergran Fri 01-May-15 12:29:15

bikergran Wed 29-Apr-15 22:05:43

annodomini Wed 29-Apr-15 21:38:21

Running true to form, I see, biker. grin

bikergran Wed 29-Apr-15 21:07:50

Hey!! Ladies I have been having a look at this Tintergel place!! it looks fan daby dozy...have a google, you know we have a bit of a journey to Cornwall! so take plenty of supplies.I'v decided to have a sidecar fitted tomorrow, so I have room for two more passengers (first come first serve) no squabbling now! in fact if ones sits on anothers knee we could fit 4 in the sidecar hmm

We would have to take the back country roads in case the country police were there, but if we come across any of them, I have plenty of Duck Tape, we will tape them to a tree, leave them some Magic Mushrooms and they will be none the wiser,, must remember to set them free on the way back grin

bikergran Wed 29-Apr-15 21:01:19

Oh glad the Hand arrived, nannier got hers as well, hope you have both tested it as there was a faulty batch!

Yes Galen is in charge, think she went off to the print the invites and sharpen her arrows. I'm pretty sure she will open a thread on the forum for all. smile

loopylou Wed 29-Apr-15 20:56:09

How many knights are you inviting?
I love a man in armour [swoons but no one's looking my way].........

bikergran Wed 29-Apr-15 20:48:42

Falcon thank goodness your ok..last we heard you were looking for Rick Wakeman on youtube... we thought you may have absconded with him and enticed him to this party! under your long frock!! shock
and chastity belts! you speak for yourself !!! some loose women going to this party won't mention any names wink

Falconbird Wed 29-Apr-15 19:39:27

I'm here ladies. I've been planning my clothes for the big event.

Got a long dress, and a long pointy hat with a veil at the back. I was wondering about Chasity Belts which were all the rage in Medieval times but then I remembered we are all mums and Grans so definitely won't be needed.

I'm not sure whether or not to pack the big foam hand you sent me Biker. I think it might squash down.

Who's going to get this party started. I think I read somewhere that Galen was in charge. wine

loopylou Wed 29-Apr-15 18:22:10

I imagine falcon has fled for the hills, or a conveniently placed castle where she can pull up the drawbridge to keep out the hoard of rampant GNs!

bikergran Wed 29-Apr-15 18:19:46

hmm grin

annodomini Wed 29-Apr-15 18:18:15

You may not have been in a state to remember the Halloween party, biker! grin

bikergran Wed 29-Apr-15 17:37:53

mcem thankyou and yes you put it better than me ! but yes that was the point I was trying to make and didn't want/hope that it was detracting from the original post which was Falcons

annsixty yes you are so right, in fact I spent most of the afternoon yesterday in my "other mode" with my mind so heavy on this time last when everything was sort of ticking along not too bad, and then "wham"! we didn't know what was coming, well we did, but! you know!

loopylou it was me that nearly had a fit! I misread the post about the "armchair" I thought well!!! I don't remember sitting in an armchair rubbing my knees together shock then re read the post and realised you meant your! armchair lol grin

anno ohh yes the Halloween party lol grin I have a photo on my profile of me at Pendle Hill! hope your coming along to the party anno would love you to meet "Randolph or was it Rudolph must re trace my post and a have a look hmm

Wondering where Falcon is ! hmm

annodomini Wed 29-Apr-15 17:20:14

Never mind the Christmas party. The original party was the Halloween one on Pendle Hill which was where biker's inflatable friends made their debut appearance.
