Smileless2012 Sat 04-Jul-15 13:19:31

smilesmilesmile Our DS should have landed at 12.30pm and the anticipation of him walking through that door and being able to hug him within an inch of his life is building.

It's been 14 months since we were last together and I can remember the out pouring of emotion when he met us at the airport last March. My dear friends it's so good to come on here and share something so wonderful with you all. So raise awineto us this evening and think of us sitting together, making the most of every precious moment.

Phew was not folk dancing, smileless your bbqs sound great x

Yogagirl Mon 29-Jun-15 19:46:32

I should be doing my double dance class right now, but it's so nice just sitting in the garden, in the shade & having a few hours with my friends on here & the other forums. Need to get up now though as I have a 1-2-1 yoga in less than an hour.
Happy days grinflowerssmile

AIBU
ESTRANGEMENT- The silent epidemic-lets get it out of the cupboard

Yogagirl Mon 29-Jun-15 18:50:04

Hello smileless thanks for that back up on the other page, as you said, I would have thought it obvious, but then folk not walking in our shoes just don't get it! Hope your little cat is OK, they are a worry. The Tunisia atrocity is truly heart breaking!
Celebgran we are talking about the other page on here, on the AIBU thread, think you've been on there, I just hit the 'watching' button. Yes they have held our article back again, I hadn't told anyone about it, apart from here of course, and my ND& sister lol. Not sure whether to tell anyone else, as it's a bit soul baring!

celebgran Mon 29-Jun-15 17:52:23

Smileless so sorry about your little cat fingers crossed he can be treated.

Wow getting a new puppy!

Reckon you could be right sadie didn't give. ME a reason is
Pretty sad and scarey what's happened is t it.

I don't go on the page you 2 do as find It bit too Intense if you interested is a good private support group for people trying move on from estrangement.

Smileless2012 Mon 29-Jun-15 17:26:24

I bought the paper when I left the gym but I guess all the coverage of the terrible events in Tunisia took up too much space. Isn't it awful; I cried when I read some of the accounts. There really are some evil and wicked people in this world.

Thanks for the pm Yogagirl. I've just posted on the other page. I knew straight away why you emailed what you did to your ED, thought it was quite obvious actually but hey ho.

Had a lovely BBQ again last night. Little puppy is settling in really well but toilet training is a bit hit and miss, still progress is being made. One of my cat's is quite poorly. Terrible runs and despite 2 injections there's very little improvement so I'm taking a sample in to the vet's tomorrow for analysis and he may need blood tests too. I'm really very worried, he looks thin and I'm thinking it could be diabetes or even cancersad.

I've had pets all of my life and each time we lose one I say 'no more' because it's so heart breaking and yet got our little puppy only a week agohmm. I'll keep you posted, just hoping and praying it's nothing serious; he's only 3.

celebgran Sun 28-Jun-15 20:55:33

Enjoy BBQ

Yogagirl Sun 28-Jun-15 17:50:22

Me too with the wine & cake smileless we had a smashing meal on Friday, lobster fresh pasta, it was expensive & only a little lobster pieces over the pasta but a real treat & the show was fantastic!
I'm afraid some people really put my back up when they sprout out and just have no understanding or brains to get a handle on what I'm saying and take everything literally! Just not on the same wavelength! (Talking about the other page fracas)
Oh well off to my ND for a BBQ grin
Enjoy the rest of your sunny Sundaywine flowers

Yogagirl Sun 28-Jun-15 17:27:05

Hello grin

I should be enjoying myself at a friends birthday garden party, I was going a bit later after my classes, got all ready wrote card, wrapped present and doh! no address blush so here I am, they are having such a good time they can't hear me phoning. My ND is having a BBQ at 6 so I'll be going off to that shortly, I was going to both anyway, flying visit to my friends then onto my D, so I'm now forced to sit & relax, think I smell a cup of tea coming on :-)
Celebgran Sadie phoned me Friday to say the article was going in Monday, she asked me to go over a few details to update & said she would send me a proof read, but haven't received it (?)........

celebgran Sun 28-Jun-15 15:25:00

Great see your post smileless well we were away at 5 star leisure resort 3 meals a day so hence weight gain! I did swim and we used stairs. It lift but it was not enough !

I dont know how I would cope if Tor was nearer I guess she would find it hard too she has never spoken to. ME or written since herm2nd class letter cutting us out of her life.

BBQ sounds lovely we went to folk dance sweat sweat but fun tho.

Going email sadie to find out about article as I not heard anything

Well tidied up downstairs Tor godparents coming for evening.
Still got lot unpacking been raining hard here now stopped so dash round try get Sunday paper, strange Gra not being here on Sunday.

Smileless2012 Sun 28-Jun-15 13:13:46

Don't ever think your daughter didn't love you Yogagirl and Celebgran's right, she still does. She may not allow herself to recognise the fact and could well spend time convincing herself otherwise but I believe that ultimately, one day, they'll have to face up too what they've done and how they truly feel. Thanks for telling us about the article, I only ever get the Saturday paper so I could have missed out; look forward to reading it tomorrow.

Ooh Celebgran, what have you been treating yourself too for a weight gain;winecupcake or chocs? Or maybe it was all 3, only asking because I consumed all 3 last week and if you've done the same, I'll feel less guilty.

How many years together will you and Gra be celebrating? It no longer bothers us when we drive passed ES house, which is just as well as he lives just down the roadhmm. Perhaps that's why; after more than 2.5 years of going passed if it was still upsetting us the way is used too we'd both be in adjoining padded cells sporting white jacketsgrin.

Had a lovely evening last night, just the two of us, BBQ, wine and it was so lovely we sat outside until 11.00pm listening to music. Really looking forward to next weeks' heatwave I'll be sitting outside, listening to our water feature with my eyes closed and imagining I'm back in Floridasmile.

celebgran Sun 28-Jun-15 10:19:09

Me again smileless back lot better just knees! Barn Dance half killed them got keep active put o. 2 half lbs last week!grin

celebgran Sun 28-Jun-15 10:17:52

Yogagirl from me can understand you coming to that conclusion but I am Sure your daughter did love you and still does she has just been brainwashed like mine.

celebgran Sun 28-Jun-15 10:15:47

Yogagirl I have not heard maybe not printing mine? The girl said she would email me.
We always buy mail so will read it of course.

HOW is your daughter well I hope exciting time for you.

God it was not here yesterday especially last night at bar. Dance.

Sorry not been on can't access Gransnet easily from my phone!

Smileless how are you now?

We drove past daughter house on Way home so different for us as we would never normally as 40 miles away so temptation. Strong. I would never knock again though. Both cars there including one helped her buy when she had Mollie short memories they have!
It's very old now so guess money tight not got us to sponge off now.

I WAS SAD bit later when went into George at asda and remembered all outfits got for mollie there few tears but shrugged them off.
Incidentally the stuff seems to have got too cheap and nasty there now used to love their pretty flip flops now it is like primark!

Glad be home lots to do Graham is out today work do.
Rosie bit upset got us up fri and last night eating grass fri but that's settled thank god.

Potters doesn't see Like 5 star resort to us Dominic was brilliant and entertainment brilliant but for the price lot cheapskate things no phone I. Room contact reception via mobile and never able get through !
Much prefer warners just as well we off there in 2 weeks for wedding anniversary.

Happy Sunday all

Yogagirl Sat 27-Jun-15 09:23:47

Morning girls
The Daily Mail article is out this Monday, with my & two other grandmothers stories.

Yogagirl Thu 25-Jun-15 11:05:14

Once I get back on here there's no getting rid of me lol
Another thought I wanted to share is; I've always kept the belief that my EstD had been brainwashed to hate me, her mum & her sister by her nasty husband & his mother, but I must now face the reality that she never loved us in the first place! Would any of us mums have cut out our D&GC because they bought you the wrong brand of toilet rolls you'd asked for whilst getting other request and free shopping? The answer is 'No' none of us would! but that's what my EstD's answer was when my ND asked her why she had cut me, her mum, out! So from that I must conceed she never loved me in the first place and has missed not one nights sleep since cutting me & her sister out!

Yogagirl Thu 25-Jun-15 10:32:19

I stopped my post abruptly as my ND phoned smile please fit not for & Bisto not history! auto correct angry
Before getting back on our page, by mistake went onto the other one blush their is a post from a mumsnetter, which I replied too.
My ND is doing well, not long to go, so we are all getting very excited! I have taken a big step and closed my FB page to friends only. As you may remember, I left it public, knowing that my EstD would almost certainly be looking in, so I would put on those mm's & things about estrangement and so forth, to tried to reach her heart, but nothing in 2.7yrs, so enough! I am hoping though that when she next tries, she will have a shock to find she can't go on, knowing that I have therefore blocked her and the other nasties who no doubt look too, will it have an effect (?) Stealing myself to take down & put away all the pictures of my beloved GC too, on the FB page, the estranged mums have done this and say it made them feel tons better! So here's hoping.
I've had a really busy week, doing my classes & another's, whilst she is on holiday, 3 today, I extra tomorrow and then finished for the day anyway. My sister is coming down from Kent in the afternoon and we are going out for a lovely meal by the sea and to the 'Cliffs' to see 'Lord of the Dance' grin
flowers Take care xx

Yogagirl Thu 25-Jun-15 08:01:58

Morning girls
Lovely sunny morning, so you can sit in the garden today smileless and enjoy your hanging baskets smile and your new little baby poodle! What's his/her name? You'll get lots of love now and a few licks too grin I like the new faces button. Hope you've settled back into good ole` blighty again smileless after all that Florida sun!
Saw all your lovely pics on FB Celebgran beautiful room and you look lovely, happy & relaxed on your holiday, good for you.
Glad Rosie is OK now, since changing Lillys diet she is not drinking tons, that was the only problem, other than that she was/is for & happy. I have now realised, after thinking and bragging that I was giving her a healthy diet, of roast chicken breast, roast potatoes, veg & gravy, it had too much salt! History gravy has 10% salt per 100gms, the roast pot has salt, as does the chicken! so I've cut out the gravy, do boiled pots, no salt, still tasty and her water intake has gone down from 750mls to about 400mls! I was only giving a few grains of the gravy, but it all adds up! I felt terrible when I realised the diet I was giving her was high in salt & unhealthy! She is also having the vets kibble, (breakfast/lunch) but it cost £20 for 2kgs angry

Smileless2012 Mon 22-Jun-15 19:16:06

Hope your back is feeling better Celebgran. That sounds like me a week and a half ago; woke up that Thursday and could hardly movehmm so had to take a week away from the gym but it's OK now.

Hope yesterday wasn't too bad for Gra. DH got a card from our son in Aus.smileand I got him a card and a big box of chocs.

We have a new addition to our family, a 6.5 month old toy poodle. Got him yesterday after only deciding to get another little dog on Wednesday!!.

Our resident Peke has welcomed him with open paws, thank goodness. He's a lovely little thing, another warm little body to love and cherish.

It can't be long now Yogagirl until you'll be holding your new grand daughter in your armssmile. You must be getting really excited now. Give my best to your dear daughter, I hope they're both well.

celebgran Sat 20-Jun-15 08:40:25

Yogagirl how is your daughter not that long now is it ?

Have good weekend all wine

Smileless2012 Sun 14-Jun-15 12:34:55

Sorry for missing your pm Celebgran,I'll have a look when I've finished this post.

I'm so glad your daughter signed for Mollie's present, it must have been very stressful waiting to see if it was going to be returned. Isn't it weird, how they behave?confused I wonder if she actually gets the gifts you send and if so, who they say they're from. I know our little grandson wouldn't receive any from us, he wont even get the cards we send but at least we know we're doing the right thing even if they're incapable of doing so. If you didn't send her a gift you'd feel bad and then when you do you have all of the stress of waiting to see if it comes backhmm. Just one more example of how we're damned if we do and damned if we don't.

Great to hear that Rosie's doing wellsmilelet's hope that Lilly is too. What would we do without our pets and the unconditional love they give.

DH drove passed ES yesterday and remarked how awful he looks. I haven't seen either of them since we got back and am hoping it stays that way.

Could do with somesunshineto cheer us all up. DH has been really busy planting out our pots and hanging baskets which look lovely but we can't sit outside to enjoy them because it's either raining or too coldangry.

Thanks for thewineandflowersI'll share them with Yogagirl.

celebgran Sat 13-Jun-15 09:00:02

Smileless2012 Fri 12-Jun-15 16:55:41

Yes Yogagirl that was what I was talking about, I'll ask DH what he did to get rid of them and let you know. Sorry for not being on for a whileblushI've been really struggling since we came back from Floridasad.

Oh poor Rosie Celebgran I hope she's fully recovered now and that your little Lilly is OK too Yogagirl.

I do hope Molly got to the post and found her card Celebgran. Isn't it awful; they're not just punishing us and goodness knows why they want too, they're punishing their own children too.

I know this isn't much of a post dear friends but just wanted to let you know I'm still here, rather out of sorts but still here.

flowerswinecupcake for you this weekend; have a good one.
