If it was my daughter, there would be no room in her loft, she has enough rubbish of her own!

It's rather like being taken out for the day by your adult child and asking, after 5 mins "are we there yet?"

kateykrunch I have a loft full of Lego, my little ponies and their castle, a selection of soft toys.
I need to have a word with my children. However DS is in a small house filled with computer bits and musical instruments.

DD is in a small house with a loft full of stuff already. She also has the belongings of two little boys.

I keep mentioning it but DD seem reluctant to part with much of it. Who wants a lot of rather worn out soft toys anyway?
My pay back will be making them have to clear out our house when we can no longer do it.

I have bought in the past, from ebay mostly, a huge collection of Playmobil knights for the GSs. I remember at one point I had two groups of them lined up on my kitchen dresser. They looked so fine! I wonder if I could possibly ask for them back now that the boys are growing out of such things? (I have not grown out of them)

My loft is still full of DD's old stuff from when she first went to uni. (Shes 31 now with her own house). I often threaten to get rid of it all but she promises faithfully that she will sort it "next week".

Don't get rid of the Lego Nelliemoser (the my little ponies and soft toys are another matter).

Apparently I was a really bad mother to my son (now 36).

Not because as a single parent I had to drag him out of bed at stupid o'clock and take him to nursery on two buses every day while I went to work to keep a rented roof over our head. Oh no.

I was a terrible mother because when he was 5 I bought him a pair of pale blue kicker boots that cost the earth and were the cutest most lovey things I had ever seen. He looks at photos of himself and tells me how stupid he looked and how people must've laughed at him and that apparently is unforgivable.

I'm the worst mother in the world because I had to go to an evening meeting on my daughter's 8th Birthday - she has never let me forget it - she is 42.
