Thank you all. I find it hard at the moment being with people, I don't want anyone being bought down because I am not on form. It started last Wednesday, like a grey blanket had wrapped round me after four days out with different friends all going back to partners and normality. Later in the week I have to attend a birthday do for eight of us, I want to cancel but of course won't , can't let birthday girl down. Glad you're all here.

Rhinestone Mon 04-Sept-17 04:20:15

YogagirlDo you have vertigo? My mother has it and needs meds to feel better. Please see a doctor. Or believe it or not it could be stress.
Or maybe the meds you are on now if any.
Had a nice day boating with friends.
The weather was perfect... not too hot, not too cold.
SmilessGlad you had a good chat with your DS.
LuckylegsPlease seek help if only for a short time. We all go thru depression at different times in our lives and some spells last longer than others. I have a friend whose husband died. She was severely depressed but decided that she would try and fix it. She booked as much time as she could meeting friends, playing cards, golfing, dance lessons. She filled up get calendar and four years later she has a new life. Maybe you need to schedule more things for yourself, take a trip, get involved with a class etc. You have nothing to lose. We all care about you.

Yogagirl Sun 03-Sept-17 18:10:12

St. John's Wort

Yogagirl Sun 03-Sept-17 18:07:11

I care about you Luckylegs I know what you are feeling, as I'm on my own too. Shall we go on 'Kindle' together shock, think that's what it's called, where you swipe right & left confused I take 'St.John's Wort' really helps

I've been feeling very ill today, had a job doing my classes, my head is spinning, been like this since yesterday afternoon. Doing my yoga class yesterday, laying down doing leg stretches, but then I couldn't get up again, started talking the class through into inverted postures from there, managed to sit up and carry on talking the class through, then into relaxation, normally I would be walking round the class, no one seemed to notice hmm Same thing today with my 2 classes, toyed with going to A&E, but didn't want to leave my dog so long at home alone.
Just remembered feeling this dizzy when I was young, and it turned out to be shingles! But you think; is it a brain tumour, or cancer of the brain! No other symptoms other than head spinning!

Nice to hear you're feeling much better Celebgran

My little Lilly [doggie] is going in for an op tomorrow, only local anesthetic, too old for general, she has a big tumour on her leg, that has to come off sad

Hope you are relaxing now Smileless after your busy week.

Starlady Sun 03-Sept-17 17:19:28

Echoing everything Smileless said.

(((Hugs))) Luckylegs!

Smileless2012 Sun 03-Sept-17 17:15:19

Oh Luckylegs we really care about you. I know it's not the same as someone physically there for you every day but we are here.

If you think you may be getting clinically depressed, please go and see your GP. There was nothing indulgent about your rant so rant away as often as you likeflowers.

Luckylegs9 Sun 03-Sept-17 16:44:08

Well the weather has gone so cold here. Celeb you are certainly being looked after, what a gem your h is. Smileless, glad you had a good chat with your son, that's it's made you happy. . I feel down today, I have noone that really cares about me. I see people of course, but too much time on my own is getting me depressed, it can only get worse. I think I am possibly getting clinically depressed, I have had depressive ymoments in the past, but get over them, this is different. Sorry, that is my indulgent rant over, know I am lucky in list of other things. Love to all.

Smileless2012 Sun 03-Sept-17 15:43:03

Wish I could hear your take on the British accent Rhinestone, is it 'plummy' like the Queen?grin.

Just put ourroastchickenin the oven for our evening meal; Mr. S.'s favouritesmile.

How's Mr. C. getting on with his wheelchair duties Celeb? Do you think he'll ever qualify as an advanced driver?

Had a good chat with DS earlier, he's like a finewinebut instead of maturing with age, just gets worse which only makes me love and miss him more.

I'm using my tried and tested old laptop so can't do the lovely little pictures that the rest of you doenvy; it's good to be able to use theroastchickenit's my favouritegrin

Rhinestone Sat 02-Sept-17 23:19:52

Hi All- LuckylegsYou cracked me up with that lounge talk. I'm not sure what kind of drinks you were talking about but the inheritance fantasy sounds like fun.
This is our Labor Day weekend so boating tomorrow and barbeque on Monday.
Did I tell you all that I changed the voice on my phone and messages to sound British? It's so much nicer than our accents.. Besides I'm still 3% British.
Off to have tea and a biscuit as you say.

Starlady Sat 02-Sept-17 12:09:37

Smileless2012 Fri 01-Sept-17 14:27:07

TGIG ladies. Oh dear Celeb that's a little disconcerting you saying that Mr. C. needs an 'L' plate, I hope he's not bumping you into too many things bless him.

I have fond memories of my GP's too Starlady, especially my maternal GM who I spent a lot of time with up until she died. I remember how thrilled she was when the boys were born, to be a GM. My poor mum's never going to be able to have that joyful experiencesad.

SparklyGrandma Thu 31-Aug-17 12:11:06

Smileless family dynamics have changed and what our grandparents and our parents experienced with their grandchildren, with no pay off, no penalties, is a fond era to look back on.
As an eldest granchild, both sides, I always visited both sets, on my own then with my DH and DS. I loved the company of my elderly grandmothers - one of whom I was lucky to have until 2007.

I recently said to my estDF and ex DH, that all children have a right to know who their grandparents are, and it was no good them waiting until they are 25.

I hope he relates this to our DS ( est to me) as he likes talking.

celeb I hope recovery and physio going along well. smile

eddiecat78 Wed 30-Aug-17 16:11:34
