Were you also shocked by out of the blue being touched by this man, Jette? I suspect that if you had said more about how it had come about, and what you yourself thought about it, you might have received more sympathy.

As it was, it sounded so very impersonal (and not about a relationship at all) that it seemed you were just asking to see what answers you would get from a vague sort of possibility of it happening, and not to get advice on a relationship. There are no mind readers on here.

I agree with Elegran - to get sympathetic or helpful answers you need to provide some sort of context. There are sometimes spoof posts and this one read like that because it was so brief with no background. It could have been a doctor a dentist a lawyer a teacher or someone you met in a lift. You could have been with him 5 mins half an hour or two days. I'm sorry if you found us unhelpful. We are usually a friendly lot, honest! Next time give us a bit more detail!

Surprising as you say you mix with many people in London and on the internet a jungle, surely, compared to Gransnet?
