I don’t want to offend anyone but I’ve just discovered that my dh wees in the shower! It was mentioned on a tv programme and I asked dh if he ever did that and he admitted that he does when he’s caught short! I was shocked and I am no way a prude. What do others think of this?
Not something I have ever done - but can't see why it would be a problem. If some find the thought unpleasant then don't do it - after all it's not compulsory!
Ah well it’s looks like I m in excellent company here the majority of posters seem to be shower wee-ers too I don’t purposely jump in the shower to wee but if it happens it happens no big deal So Suffuler in answer to your question no your husband is not dirty he’s not a pervert and he doesn’t have a bad ‘habit’ he’s doing what half or much more than half the population do regularly unless of course you mean he pops it out and wees in the showers when he’s fully dressed and not having a shower now that’s a completely different ball game ( whoops excuse the pun didn’t see that one coming ?)
Sitting a child on the potty then turning on the tap was a way to encourage them to 'go' years ago. DM recommended this, she must have trained me that way, because as soon as I hear running water, I get the urge to go!!
I think that years ago potty training was done much earlier and sitting a child on the potty then turning on a tap encouraged them to do a wee. My DM did this so as soon as a tap is turned on, I feel the urge to go
Wee is not dirty - in a healthy person it is almost sterile. It contains the same body wastes as sweat - salt, water, urea, etc. - so peeing in the shower isn’t going to add to the bacterial load of your shower or bathing area. Poo, on the other hand, is loaded with potentially harmful bacteria, so that definitely goes down the loo!
When my son was a toddler he had a temporary physical problem. The medical advice was to put him in a warm bath when he had difficulty passing urine. Worked every time. It is because your body drops in temperature as you undress and get in the shower, blood vessels constrict, blood rushes to your core and your blood pressure rises. Your body expels urine which make your blood pressure drop to normal.
MiniMoon Most Aussies are very water-use conscious. Many of them think it is wasteful to flush unnecessarily. They have a little rhyme. I hope it doesn't offend anyone's sensibilities!
"If it's yellow, let it mellow! If it's brown, flush it down!"
I can just imagine a chorus of "Yuck's" now coming from some Gransnetters!
