I don’t want to offend anyone but I’ve just discovered that my dh wees in the shower! It was mentioned on a tv programme and I asked dh if he ever did that and he admitted that he does when he’s caught short! I was shocked and I am no way a prude. What do others think of this?

Wee can be good for some plants too.

Jalima1108 Thu 15-Nov-18 22:56:51

Isn't it supposed to be a good thing to pee on the compost heap to help it to rot?
Easier for men, of course, than for women who would have to climb on to the heap and squat.

wink

Why is it too horrible to contemplate Harrigran Its a normal thing sterile water going down the drain with a few more gallons washing it down
I’m not sure what some of you think is going to happen why is it any dirtier than flushing down the loo they are both white ceramics with water washing it away it’s not going to be hanging around we re not talking about poo just wee and although I wipe my shower down I certainly don’t do all that chemical faffing every day

Gonegirl Thu 15-Nov-18 22:38:34

Those who do, do you squat, or do it standing up? (If you don't mind my asking)

Chewbacca Thu 15-Nov-18 22:33:49

My exH used to pee on my new hiking boots to soften them up. Usually before I'd put them on, but not always. grin

harrigran Thu 15-Nov-18 22:31:12

No, no and no just too revolting to contemplate. Use the toilet before stepping into the shower shock

merlotgran Thu 15-Nov-18 22:21:50

My mum used to put my wet nappies on my Aunt’s chillblains and it cleared them up a treat.

grin

My Yorkshire MiL used to say a good cure cuts and grazes was 'maiden's water' shock

She wouldn't elaborate when I asked her.

Eloethan Thu 15-Nov-18 22:17:04

It wouldn't bother me particularly - it was also my understanding that wee is sterile.

janeainsworth Thu 15-Nov-18 22:08:30

as long as the shower tray is washed well, cleaned and disinfected every time. I pour bleach down the drain hole

Well, as long as you don't wee in the shower you don't have to bother with all that crap messing about.
All you have to do is give the tiles & shower door a quick spray with Daily Shower Shine.
Using so many chemicals every time you have a shower is very wasteful & bad for the environment IMHO.

NanKate Thu 15-Nov-18 22:07:36

Yogagran you are right. My mum used to put my wet nappies on my Aunt’s chillblains and it cleared them up a treat. ?

Gonegirl Thu 15-Nov-18 22:02:32

Mind boggles now. grin

phoenix Thu 15-Nov-18 21:55:13

Not sure, Gonegirl perhaps she has a special technique, after all, she seems to be very flexible!

Gonegirl Thu 15-Nov-18 21:51:42

How can it protect Madonna's feet from athlete's foot if it all gets washed off immediately?

Chewbacca Thu 15-Nov-18 21:46:15

Well, we've all been missing a trick here:

Urine skin therapy can help with acne, eczema, rashes and dry skin – so basically any kind of skin woe, whack some wee on it. It’s said to boost the elasticity and suppleness of our skin. Healthy skin typically contains 28 micrograms of urea per square centimeter, whereas dehydrated, dry skin has 50% less, and for all of you guys with eczema, 80% less.

So maybe weeing in the shower isn't such a bad idea afterall.

Blue45Sapphire Thu 15-Nov-18 21:42:21

I might as well own up to doing it as well....don't see a problem, it's all washed away.

phoenix Thu 15-Nov-18 21:41:52

What? peeing in the shower, no problem! I truly cannot understand those who think it might lead to a germ ridden bathing area!

We all run the shower for long enough that any urine has been flushed away, and anyway, as others have said, it is sterile.

BTW, Madonna swears by peeing in the shower to guard against athletes foot, so there! grin

Chewbacca Thu 15-Nov-18 21:37:42

What a waste! He could save up all his wees and use it to make bricks....

Davidhs Thu 15-Nov-18 21:28:38

I was alarmed by a recent survey how many adults peed in the swimming pool, at least I don't swim in the shower.

yogagran Thu 15-Nov-18 21:10:39

I understood that urine was good for healing chilblains

Jalima1108 Thu 15-Nov-18 21:07:30

yes, but it's another 13 hours Cherrytree shock
Well done!!

You won't be booking the through flight to Perth, I take it?

Gonegirl Thu 15-Nov-18 20:58:15

If you hover you are very likely to leave a wet seat for others.

Cherrytree59 Thu 15-Nov-18 20:51:47

Jalima Thankfully we had stop over in Dubai smile.

Jalima1108 Thu 15-Nov-18 20:43:44

I do have a poop problem though. Me too
I can never go on a plane, or indeed, many places away from home.

I’m ok with going behind a bush
but you have to be so careful not to catch your trousers …..

And on jelly fish stings too gmelon
Yes, that's the advice in Australia, if no vinegar is available then wee on the sting.
However, that may not be enough on a box jelly fish sting.

Jalima1108 Thu 15-Nov-18 20:38:55

Plane No (including flights to Australia)
How do you manage Cherrytree?
I take Andrex toilet wet wipes and clean the seat thoroughly first on a long-haul flight

crazyH Thu 15-Nov-18 20:34:14

I don't see a problem with weeing in the shower. It all goes down the drains anyway....as long as the shower tray is washed well, cleaned and disinfected every time. I pour bleach down the drain hole
