I never expected to get such nasty responses. I have been totally honest in my post (my first post, I might add).
I was dreadfully scared to post but I have literally no one in my real life I can share without shocking or surprising them at how I feel.
I was looking for SUPPORT, yes support from ladies perhaps who had gone through similar. Yet what have I received? I’ve been laughed at and belittled!

I'm sorry, GrannyH50 but I'm afraid I'm with Maw on this. Giving credence to it by calling it 'limerence' - total psychobabble in my opinion - just encourages people to think of it somehow as being understood and endorsed by psychologists, something one should be able to 'get help for'.
You had a teenage crush, which you really should be able to deal with at your age.

I once had a terrible crush on my PE teacher at Roehampton.

I thought limerence might be something to do with liquorice, but clearly it isn't, only I never liked liquorice much but that never embarrassed me
