How can I have my idea of a perfect man?

The one I have is sadly deficient. He goes days without speaking, never washes the bath mat and refuses to ask for directions when lost.

Whenever I am lingering over my cheese and ham toastie in our local garden centre, he claims he needs to leave.
Also shelving issues, I wish my nick nacks to be displayed nicely, he claims he needs an extra fitting for his drill.

I'm not sure how to progress.

Well I wouldn’t actually want a perfect man as he would probably want me to be perfect woman and I’m far from that, but saying that my man is perfect for me and I’m perfect for him so that’s got to be a plus point, lol it very much depends on how you describe perfect really each to their own, I wouldn’t change mine for all the tea in China

After three husbands I’m still looking for the perfect man! First was an alcoholic, second a philanderer come liar and third a control freak and bully! I’m now enjoying me time and finding it quite liberating.

1.Letting HIM find his own way should teach him a lesson. You ask someone and find your own way
2.Ignore and carry on eating your sandwich.
3.Get someone else to fix your shelves.
4.Just ignore him and do your own thing.
Enjoygrin

Sirchenjin - I am still laughing. Oh the vision of a cross between Jamie Fraser and Dick Strawbridge. Splendid men both, but I hope the love child comes without all that facial hair. I am a fan of both Outlander and Escape to the Chateau. Absolutely in awe of the skills that are transforming all those Chateaux (?)Chateaus (?)

A brilliant post, I’ve laughed out loud!

You can enjoy the idea of a perfect man in your own private fantasies, grapefruit but the reality is more difficult to come by.
I'd be happy with a chauffeur and DIY expert.

Evie 'The perfect man goes home after, fixing the shelf, carried the shopping, cooked lunch and cleaned the car lol' - I think you've forgotten something ;)

The trouble with the perfect man is that he would want the perfect wife.

I doubt I am her, so I shall stick to the man I have, faults and all, because after all, he puts up with me AND says he loves me.

Is there such a thing!!!

Chaitriona Sat 09-Nov-19 11:02:27

I have a very similar model.

Having your idea is easy. You're doing that now.*grapefruitpip*.

How to find that ideal man is another question.

I found mine at the age of 64. Near ideal but the same would be said of me if someone asked him. I have my idiosyncrasies.?

Apricity ?

Sadly the perfect man or woman doesn`t exist.
I would stop doing as he requests and do your own thing.

SirChenjin Sat 09-Nov-19 10:43:20

The lovechild of Jamie Fraser and Dick Strawbridge would do me nicely - good looks and DIY prowess with the energy of a Duracell bunny ?

EvieJ Sat 09-Nov-19 10:42:35

The perfect man goes home after, fixing the shelf, carried the shopping, cooked lunch and cleaned the car lol

Why would anyone want a perfect man? Having such a paragon in your life would mean that whatever goes wrong or is less than perfect would be YOUR fault.

This thread is great and really cheering me up today as its been a horrific week! Thank you. x

helenmabr Sat 09-Nov-19 10:33:34

Jamie Fraser in Outlander!!!!! probably as near perfection as possible.

jura2 Sat 09-Nov-19 10:30:15

I wonder- are they married to perfect women ;)
mine isn't, for sure ahaha

Samiejb- yes, just get on and do it by yourself or with a friend/s.

Dottydots Sat 09-Nov-19 10:29:53

My boyfriend says he's the perfect man because he always wipes the toilet floor when his jimmy riddle splashes on it!

Samiejb Sat 09-Nov-19 10:28:35

All I get whenever I suggest anything - doing something, buying something - what do you want to do that for? Then I say why I do, and I get - oh you do what you want. Such a lack of enthusiasm means we do nothing.

I've got to find the nerve to just get on and do these things by myself I hear you say.

blondenana Sat 09-Nov-19 10:27:50

My mother used to say all the perfect men were 6ft under grin

Callistemon Sat 09-Nov-19 10:20:59

We can live in hope.

Or, if we do have one that is less than perfect, keep on with the training

I’m going on a carpentry course, do the same that might shock him at your independence. Go for it, ..... whilst enjoying the porn site ! ?
