I need to share----update

Thank you to everyone who responded to my earlier post.
After my conversation/talk to him 3 weeks our SIL opened up about just how much in turmoil he has been over the last few months.
He has since thanked me for my 'wise council' and has allowed himself to express his vulnerability.
He is trying very hard to develop warm relationships with our daughter and us, which we are happily responding to.

He has also experienced a very, very traumatic ending to his relationship with his 'friend', and this has indeed been a real learning curve for him.

Our daughter has been so supportive and loyal through this----was it only 8 days ago?
His parents have also given him support, perhaps the beginning of their acceptance of who he is.

We move forward in a much more positive way.

this sounds all v cryptic.
i think it relates to the OP about a SIL who split up from his wife, to go live with another man.
might have been easier to comprehend if the update had been added on to the original thread.
anyway, glad to hear things are looking better.

A very difficult time for you all lincolnimp good to hear you are communicating in a good way despite everything. Your daughter is to be admired for coping so well.
