Morning all

Before I forget I wanted to wish every single one of you the best Christmas you can have, given your own particular circumstances.

Some of you are going through some awful times, unwell partners, rows with children, grumpy husbands, dealing with one’s own mental and physical health.

We’ve all seemed to have had some challenges this year and for me, I bless each day, however grumpy and argumentative I’m feeling.

Might not like our current govt, weather, how my adult kids sometimes behave, my grumpy husband but EVERY day I appreciate how blessed I am!

I have a warm, if shabby home, I feel safe inside it with the three adult children who seem as if they’ll never leave (despite many hints from us!) our four dogs (three of which belong to one of the aforementioned!), our kitchen pantry and fridge/freezer are full to bursting, I have a few, but nevertheless very special and close friends, one fabulous grandchild, things to look forward in 2024 and I’m still (just about) mobile and able to drive!

We have a nice, quiet Christmas planned with a couple of outings this week with friends and then just the three who live at home and a full family event planned for 13/14 Jan (first date all of us are free), I’ll be having Christmas crackers, we will wear silly hats and I’ll put on a “help yourself rolling buffet” so much less stress and people can arrive when they like and leave when they like.

I wish you all a festive Christmas and hope you can all find some joy and inner peace x smile

Lovely thread Cossy, well done, and I echo your sentiments. We are reasonable organised, fridge is full as is wine rack. Sadly, the dog basket is empty, and it will be the first Christmas in this house without our lovely dog. But, there are many facing a far worse future than we are, and for that I am thankful.

A wish for Christmas, and for a happy and healthy 2024 to all of you lovely friends on GN.

Thank you and Merry Christmas!!!!

I have a young wife and I was just looking for a gift for the holidays. the guys suggested something that would be cool: okova.shop/collections/fluffy-tail-butt-plug

but I'm still hesitating...

Thank you and the same to you too. I lost my wonderful husband of 50 years nine years ago so as far as I am concerned Christmas no longers means anything to me. All I want is for January to come round because I know we are on the right track to spring.

To one and all.

I hope that everyone on GN enjoys some or all of the times in the feast days ahead.
I think of you as my virtual friends , encouraging, challenging, amusing, in turn, but never dull.
Thank you for your thoughts in 2023 - I'm looking forward to more to follow in 2024.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all. I've had a couple of challenges this year but it's ended on a more positive note. My eldest is coming for her Christmas dinner and me and DH are going on the 28th for a get together with my youngest and her partner. Will travel back the next day. Otherwise a nice quiet time - not going anywhere else and not expecting anyone. Best wishes everyone. xx

Thank you Cossy for your message - it applies to most people I think - we might be a little grumpy now and then but overall gratitude reigns.

Merry Christmas and a peaceful new year to everyone . Sending hugs to anyone who is struggling this year and good wishes for a better 2024. Our Christmas Day will be chaotic with 4 young grandchildren and their parents then it’s chilling the rest of the week hopefully eating up leftovers and chocolate !

Beautiful message Cossy.
I think it’s important to realise how much we are blessed given the way the world is at the moment.

Lets hope and pray 2024 is a better year for all of us.

I hope everyone has the best Christmas we can possibly have given everyone’s different circumstances, and like nanna8 mentioned not forgetting the reason for the season.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! 🎄🎄🎄

We are visiting son and family in the morning then to daughter’s for lunch. Will be a quiet one as my father passed away on 13 November and I had a hysterectomy on 21 November and will still be recovering to some extent. Will enjoy seeing all the grandchildren which for me makes Christmas and with being out of action so to speak will enjoy taking a bit of a back seat. Merry Christmas to you all and hope it’s a happy one whatever you do.

Thanks Cossy - best wishes to you and everyone on GN.

My son is off travelling, daughter in Oz, and as it will just be the 2 of us, we are going to be decorating the living room, as I will have time off work! (It does need doing!)
