No wonder there are so many lonely people living out sad lives.
The first meeting was in a playgroup which would normally be in a village hall or large enough space for tots to run around in. It wasn’t a playground with random strangers around.
He is obviously a kind hearted man who wanted to help his friend’s wife who was obviously lonely.
I introduced two Norwegian friends and it meant a huge deal to them. Even though both of them lived in England for decades and spoke good English, communicating directly in their own language freed them up in ways most of us haven’t had to experience.
Sadly my dog walking friend was diagnosed with a terminal cancer and found great comfort in hearing Norwegian spoken gently to her in her final hours.
Such a shame when people shut the world out totally and suck the joy out of living.
