Stressed since husband retired

I think I just need to let off steam. Long rant
My OH retired in December and I am really struggling with him being home all of the time. I have become so resentful and hate myself for it. He did work away a lot of the time so I developed my own routines. I find my lack of personal space a challenge. I spend more time upstairs as the tv is on constantly when he is home watching all kinds of junk.
I still have my hobbies and he does have his, but his are lone things that he does excercise etc. I have volunteer roles mixing with lots of people and enjoying a laugh. The friends we had have either died or moved to be closer to family and I am now lonely. I would like us to have more social interactions together as a couple. I am friends with people but we have no mutual friends as OH does struggle socially, all previous mutual friends have been made via things that I did and we did enjoy times with them. I am at a loss as to how to get him involved in making friendship groups as it would be nice to go out with others. Has anyone experienced this and how did you resolve it as any advice would be gratefully accepted.

I’m so sorry, but I smiled at this.

My husband retired prior to me, to care for his mother, living close by in part-sheltered accommodation.

I was working from home, he drove me completely bonkers!

Btw, oddly my DH has no real friends, his two closest friends died suddenly. He played football til injuries forced him out of this.

He is, however, obsessed with sport and will watch almost any sport.

He walks the dog daily and likes to make me endless coffee/teas etc and is good at running errands, so long as I explain in full detail what needs doing, (by which time I could have done it myself!)

He also visits his mother at least 3 mornings a week in her care home.

My fear is when my MiL and our dog die, what then ….. 😱😱😱
