When my Mum died my Dad met someone very quickly, we had their engagement picture on a shelf in the living room but it constantly turned round to face the wall, my children were too small to have reached it. Then one day I was on my own in the house when a female voice called my name I checked the house but it was empty, also not long after I was visiting a friend in hospital I was waiting for a bus to go home when the lady waiting with me said "that's a lovely perfume is it Youth Dew?" now I wasn't wearing any perfume but that fragrance was one of my Mum's favourites. I have often wondered if she was with me I hope she was.

My second spooky moment .
A few years back we got really carried away tracing our family trees. I could not stop thinking about all these people who had gone before me and what their lives had been like. I had been asleep one night when I had the feeling I used to get that somehow one of the children had got out of bed and was silently standing beside me. I found myself saying '' what's wrong '' and looked to see a tall figure standing by my bed. I could not see a face but was sure it was a man. The next night half asleep it happened again and I waved my hands about but there was nothing there. I am sure it was one the the ancestors . It was not a t all frightening which was strange.

In the 60s I had a live-in job in an old country inn. One morning, before opening, with doors locked, I was re-stocking the bar when quite suddenly the hairs on my neck and arms stood on end. I turned and said, "We're not open yet..." but of course, there was no-one around. Much later that day, I was about to tell a female regular of the pub about my experience. Before I could tell her the whole story she interrupted and said, "Oh, are you going to tell me that you've seen the ghost..." Exceedingly spooky confused .

I have experienced wafts of perfume, as if someone was walking past me. It happened one saturday, I went to collect post from porch and there was a lovely smell, it was so strong I thought it was DH's aftershave, it wasn't he had not put any on. I dismissed it from my mind until later in the day it happened again as if someone had walked past me in the lounge and again ten minutes later it past going the other way. A beloved aunt had died a few days earlier but I do not really believe in things like that. I told my son and he asked if I had one of those plug in air fresheners .. I don't.

My daughter used to go and stay at her dad's flat around the corner one night during the school week. The following morning, one week, she was in the kitchen with me and I was telling her about a really weird dream about motorbikes I had had the previous night – so vivid that it had woken me up. Halfway through my account, she took over and finished the story – my dream. I had not watched any television the previous evening and we also checked the television programmes to see what might have been on – nothing with motorbikes. My mum and I used to dream the same dreams sometimes, but usually connected with some family crisis or event – not motorbikes.

Have you ever had a moment when the hair on the back of your head stood up. I have had a couple.
We had a neighbour Called Mr.Reid who was a lovely elderly gentleman. He was in charge of the older children at the church who were in their teens our two being among them and he was much loved. He moved away to be near his son and sadly died a little time later. My daughter had done well at school and I kept thinking how I wished I could have told Mr. Reid. However time passed then one night I had a thought going through my head all night . I kept wishing that we had had keepsake to remind us of him I was really disturbed all night .
The next morning being Saturday we had gone off shopping leaving the family at home. When we came home there was a box of ornaments in the hall. When I asked the kids what it was that said that a friend had dropped it off for them to pick something as it had come from Mr. Reid's house . When I questioned the person who had left the box she said that it had been lying around her house for ages and she had only then got round to sorting it out. That was spooky.
