Hitch was, in the current vernacular "totally awesome". I'm reading a collection of his essays and reviews, entitled Arguably at the moment, and I am just blown away by the precision of his language and the incisiveness of his thoughts.
I think we godless folk lost a great ally last December when he died - writing (no longer able to speak) almost up to the end. As someone put it, he thought not in words, but in sentences.
Link to first of a series of, I think, 6 Youtube videos (because it couldn't all go on one?) of A lecture given in Toronto by Christopher Hitchens. I think it is brilliant.
When I looked at no.1 the links to the others were alongside and each runs into the next. Enjoy, grans!
