An expression of admiration for the Bible is not tantamount to a profession of Christian or, for that matter Jewish, faith.

He does say 'honourable' though and it is the childishness ( or innocence) of the psalms which makes them so attractive to so many people, including atheists.

Strange... "The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this." (Albert Einstein letter to Eric Gutkind,3/1/1954)

Glad that you're happy, jings...I've been reading the wise words of the Dalai Lama, and they make me equally happy. Enjoy your day. smile

Einstein! A Bible is about to be auctioned in Madison Avenue Salerooms USA that Einstein and his wife presented to a friend in the 1930s.
Einstein wrote in German in the flyleaf, "The Bible is a source of inexhaustible wisdom and consolation that should be read often".
