Mary Midgley doesn't think so. www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/belief/2010/jun/12/science-darwin-newton-religion-atheism

I don't think so either. I also think science, being a human activity, gets it wrong sometimes. But it's still our best bet towards greater understanding of the world and the universe we live in.

Not yet - we are working on it!
Will it ever? - who knows?
It is all part and parcel of the enigma that is life.
Embrace the not knowing and get stuck into a bit of loving.

"Science: ruining everything since 1543" as the T-shirt says: "it even robbed us of the unicorn".

No, it doesn't have all the answers, I didn't need to read the article to know that smile

It seems to me that science poses more questions than it answers whereas religion answers questions that no one has asked.

Wouldn't it be boring if all the questions were answered? As it is, when a possible answer is found, more questions arise. Science is a Hydra - you chop off a head and two more grow.

Yes, we all know that's the answer, Aka, but what do we do with that information? confused

bags Google images for "Science: Ruining Everything Since 1543" it's great - there's a unicorn, a flat earth and that famous painting depicting creation - my son has the T-shirt and he's a scientist smile.

I've got the poster up at work much to the hilarity of the young 'uns in my office.
