Got into a very interesting conversation with a lady yesterday at a secular event. She is a devout Anglican and started to question me on what I believed and did not believe. Not in a rude way but in a curious way. I told her that I had grown up in a very religious environment and now, since I have retired, I do not go to a specific church but was on the fringe or periphery of Christianity. I could honestly not answer any of her questions properly as I just did not know the dogma that went with it. She sort of diplomatically changed the conversation to focus on the people she knew who had tried out different churches to search out what they were looking for and were disappointed when they could not find their peace. I ran the conversation over several times in my mind and concluded that for me it was getting out there to share kindness where it was most needed i.e. donating, knitting, volunteering etc What do other people feel?
Amongst all the grim news ....
Talking about wealth: what happens if the government took on the mortgage debt?
