If you are on God's side you can't be neutral. Jesus wasn't neutral.

I was answering NanaLinda1964's post.

The analogy refers to the contrast between the powerless and the powerful. JC supported the powerless , the despised, the rejected, the widows, the orphans, the sick.

There is a genocide going on.

It's a myth that elephants are frightened of mice.

They are, however, afraid of bees.

Hi can't agree with that analogy of the elephant and the mouse situation because to remain neutral as Jesus was when alive on earth, we have to not take sides.Afterall, the mouse may have scared the elephant(we know elephants are frightened of mice)and the elephant may have reacted because of that, and jump on the mouse who was hindering it.
So... to be neutral doesn't mean we are in the side of an oppressor. It means, stay out of the fight, remain kind, and do not get involved,it's not your fight,Jesus said his kingdom was no part of this world, neither should those be, who say they follow his lead.Thankyou for reading. Kind thoughts and love ❤️

Thanks for all replies. I don't call myself a Christian and don't belong to any church so feel happy to hear from fellow believers.

Always admired Desmond Tutu and his light touch on serious questions.

Desmond Tutu was such a wonderful man. His collaborative book written with the Dalai Lama about Joy is a delight to read... both men knew how to forgive and live in peace.. they both knew how to be effective in conflict through understanding and love...not violence

Shifting the elephant is always uncomfortable.

Thanks for reminding me of this.

If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.
