Ailidh

I always smile when I read your name, I find It very stilling.

It's from a favourite Taize chant.

It's so sad for everyone annsixty.
I've been there with my mum sitting round the bed as she slipped away. The only comfort we had was that she was going to be with God.
But we can't make people believe. My own husband is a humanist.
Will be thinking about you.

My GD is closer to rhem than I so I shall ask her.
She was treated as an honorary GD so she is very uoset herself.

I'm glad I posted. I wasn't sure.
Difficult one annsixty. Can you ask them maybe?

My reason for hesitation is that the stricken lady was a Jehovah’s Witness for some years and it rather divided the family.
She suddenly had a huge change of mind and threw any religious material away.
I don’t really know how the family now feel about organised religion.

My dear friend’s mother is on end of life care and isn’t expected to live for more than a few hours.
She and her D’s are by her side and I hope this might bring them comfort if I send it to them.
I am undecided at the moment but will consider it.
I found it beautiful.
