I'm not condoning his behaviour or that of the Church, but I think that people in authority in any organisation where this has occurred did not, for a long time, know quite what to do about it.

They do now.

I’m as appalled that it’s been covered up by the church as I am at his behaviour. Disgusting on both counts.

For those who don’t know, this man was paid a six figure sum after many reports of sexual abuse towards children.
Many in the church hierarchy are shocked and dismayed.
Just Google his name to read the story.
