Prayers for my lovely sister please

My sister has been waiting to have open-heart surgery. It has been delayed for three weeks. It's due to take place on Thursday, but her husband was called in the early hours as she was moved to the ICU.

I am distressed. I have read posts where GNs have offered prayers and I think prayers will help us both. Hope to give her physical strength and me to calm down.

How can I begin to thank the outpouring of support on GN? It's incredible to experience such comforting wishes from strangers.

I'm operating on automatic at present, so please excuse this brief message.

Yesterday is all a blur, but it was explained to the family that there was something they could do, but she would be in a lot of pain and they wouldn't be able to stop that. They chose to have the machines switched off. So I have to tell myself this is not about me, it's about her and it's selfish to want her to have stayed.

I will carry your condolences in my heart for a very long time.
