Supposedly from Amazon

Usually when I pick up the phone to an unknown caller I say nothing and within seconds I get beep beep beep, just now I said nothing and had the message thank you for ordering from Amazon your card has been charged £399, I took a photo shot of the phone number and blocked it. I do order a lot from Amazon but needless to say I did not place an order for £399! ?

You can check your Amazon account and if you are worried change your password and remove your card number but there are so many scams at the moment it was probably just trying to get your card detail for a ‘refund’.

Thank you but personally I am not worried as realise it was a scam. Sorry but what is a PIA? ?

ha ha JackyB they weren't supposed to be! I've had two calls from 'France' since I posted, I just watched it ring, who an earth can that be?

I had a text from Amazon, here in Oz, to say my card had been charged over $5000 for a fancy piece of gym equipment! I put hold on my card, checked Amazon account and all seems ok.

I’ve had a few in my email too most go into the junk mail box so I only see them when I check that. If it’s doubtful it gets deleted, if it’s genuine they will chase you.
