I haven't seen the programme but my sister was telling me about it yesterday. I've seen cases like these on other programmes. It's very sad. I know myself well enough to know that it would never happen to me. If a good looking younger man took an interest in me, I would assume there was something wrong with him! I realise some people are lonely of course.

I haven’t watched it but have read of so many who have been conned like this. I really don’t understand how people haven’t heard of it - or think it could never happen to them.

Has anyone else watched the scary BBC programme “For Love or Money”.
It shows various single, mostly older, women who have been scammed out of vast sums of money by on line “boyfriends” who turned out to be fake.
I find it difficult to imagine why these ladies fall for the scam. They are obviously flattered by the attention from the good looking scammers - photos stolen from other websites - and send money or large gift cards. One lady even lost her home as she had got into so much debt.
I hope that gransnetters would not be so stupid, but please be careful online.
