It's sometimes hard to be sure .
My rule of thumb is;
Avoid all unsolicited mail/texts/calls.
My bank never phones me.
My DC would never text to say they were in trouble.
Etc .
But, having said that I think I narrowly avoided scammers when selling clothes on Vinted.
Someone, not Vinted, replied off site to offer to buy everything.
Foolishly, I gave them my bank details before I smelled a rat.
I then had to call the bank and stop my card.

Sorry, forgot to mention that the £900.00 was in euros, not pounds!

Definitely a scam!

On Thursday 31st October I received a phone text supposedly from the DWP saying to fill in an online form and I might just get £900.00.

It was dated 21st June and I had until the 1st November to do the form and send it off!

So if that was the REAL DWP ... it wasn't, obviously, why did they date it for June but not send me the text until October then expect me to do the form within 24 hours?!

Deleted, blocked and reported!
