None of the FB groups I'm in ever turn into 'slanging matches'. They're just interest groups around various hobbies and types of books I like.

I'm not a joiner either, but will keep an eye on it to see whether it degenerates into yet another slanging back and forth platform. Might join later - not sure yet.

Sounds useful Elegran but I'm not keen to join another Facebook group. I'm fully occupied with GN, Twitter and Bluesky as well as other FB groups!

I came across a new Facebook group called Fake Off which is trying to fight the growing crop of websites publishing fake sites full of anti-Uk sentiment. It looks interesting - Facebook itself doesn't seem to take any notice when you report these hate sites.
