LPA potential fraud

People need to be aware of this - a man presenting as a solicitor (though employed by a law firm, not qualified as such) holding LPA's for scores of vulnerable elderly people.

It’s been a programme on BBC R4. All last week, still available on BBC sounds.
It would appear that care home workers were also involved.

The law firm are doubling down and engaging a PR company.

This firm is very local to me. In fact DH and I were going in to rewrite our wills with them.

They have a large sign on their door now, appointments only instead of their normal we are open all welcome

I guess they will be gone by the New Year…
