First they send you a text supposedly from British Gas noting that our smart meter isn’t sending information and that they could send a British Gas engineer to mend it. We would get another text with another number but not to worry it’s from them. Sure enough that arrives attached to 60180number. Luckily I decided that my very old smart meter which wasn’t working any longer didn’t need mending but should have been replaced. However, looked number up and it says known to be a scam and British Gas state they will never text customers but the number is a Premium one.
Sometimes it’s just the small things that press the bruise isn’t it? 😢
