Gosh, I hope there’s a logical explanation for all that Monica…sounds iffy to me! Surely no face recognition stuff going on?

Since moving to our new location I have begun to use Boots, the chemist for various things. My repeat prescription is being sent there, for example.

Ever since I walked into the store about a month ago I keep getting requests for me to complete a customer survey for them. I am asked to use a website with the address boots,com,\customer_survey\rewards . I have altered all the punctuation and reversed the slashes, so that the quoted address is not accidentally 'live'. I have no recollection of giving them my email address

Yesterday, I went into Boots, made an enquiry of the pharmacist and walked out. I bought nothing and did not even give my name. By lunch time I was receiving survey requests. I have had three in the last 24 hours.

The only time, I clicked on the address (the very first one I received) I got a message up from the computer saying that there were two email addresses attached to the link, one with Boots in the name and one not. I went no further.

I am rather puzzled how Boots got my details, since on neither occasion did I buy anything or identify myself in any way, and also how it was registered that I was in the shop, since no transaction took place.

I am finding this somewhat unnerving and wonder whether anyone else has been receiving these requests from Boots.
