Do you want to participate in Santander's 100k a month Big Giveaway?

Then just enter your account details to enter our Prize Draw.

(Eh? If you're my bank then you already have my account details........on your bike!)

Santander seems to be a regularly prolific vehicle for scammers and this 'Prize Draw' routine does the rounds every couple of months. Beware.

Are you talking about the Spanish bank Santander en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santander_Bank ? Is there even one in our country?

Yes, Santander took over Abbey National some time ago.

Are you sure it’s a scam.
I had the email but it had my name and postcode on it. There was no link within the email, but advised you to open your own banking app and enter there.

I never trust these emails, even when they contain some correct personal details. It is much safer to ignore the email and open the banking app directly, rather than using anything in the message. If there is a genuine offer or message, it should be visible in the secure banking app.

If you get a phone call from someone saying they are from the AA and there was a problem with your direct debit going through since Lloyds took over the Halifax, then beware.
Another scam.
