New research seems to be saying that sea corals are not as vulnerable as has been thought

Bags - thanks for the encouraging information. (Coral is a big chain of bookmakers)
I am hoping to see some really pristine coral in Fiji in March.

We have some healthy colonies of cold water fossils off our coasts.

Yes, but it is that word 'cold' that puts me off! My grandson is a diver and dives quite a lot in his dry suit in lakes in the North of England. I like my sea temperature to be roughly akin to a warm bath!

Good news - David Attenborough will be relieved. Having always dreamed of seeing and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, the reality, when I did, was heartbreaking. The marine biologists on the boat I was on were so concerned. I had the same experience in the Red Sea but I think that was more of a tourist induced death of the coral.
