Sorry, galen, I was asleep by nine o'clock last night! And anyway, I can't 'explain' infinity. I don't find the concept of seeing evidence from before the Big Bang difficult though; that's just an extension of, say, seeing the Andromeda Galaxy (which I can if I walk out of my back door on a clear night) and knowing that what I am seeing 'is' two and a half million years ago. It's a bit like a photograph – 'capturing' some light at a certain moment in time. With the Big Bang we're talking about billions instead of millions – only one 'letter' has changed
: a quantitative change rather than a qualitative one.
