Richard Beynon is local to where I live and used to live.
I cannot understand why David Cameron appointed him to the post he has because, as the article says, as a large landowner and active in various countryside movements it was always blinding obvious that there would be conflicts of interest.
The person the answer the question about Beynon having this job is the man who appointed him and that is Cameron.
