I wonder what happened to that good idea? People in West Yorkshire must have given ot the thumbs down, or maybe it was going to cost someone some money.

I'm like you MiceElf I can't tell the direction until the vehicle is right up my ..... even with the windows open. Could be the wind? And then I get anxious about trying to pull over

I've recently spent time with a friend who is blind. When she stands up after sitting for a while, instead of moving off naturally as a seeing person would, she remains still and quiet for about 10 seconds, feeling and listening to her surrounding, especially when in a place with which she is unaccustomed.

White noise around you? Being shut in a box? Stuff like that should cover it.

Fascinating. But why do I find it so hard to detect the direction of siren sounding emergency vehicles when I'm driving?
