Phew! I thought you were talking about the sun's magnetic flip for a minute, jess, and then I realised!

Lots if equipment won't work - radio transmissions for example could be affected.
Animals will lose their sense of direction and could not migrate
Also the magnetic field helps to protect us from ionising radiation, deflecting ionised particles. So there could be disruptions in that meaning greater exposure to such radiation.
Hasn't happened they think for 780,000 years but does so on an an irregular basis, and not infrequently if you are on planetary time.

Indeed. At least it is not the earth's, which will happen one day and will be dramatic. And not just because your compass will point the wrong way.
