Conservation success in restoring Large Blue and Silver-spotted Skipper butterfly populations. The first part is a wonderful account of how science should be done and it's good to read of such successes. The second part of the essay is rather depressing reading about how science shouldn't be done.

Beautiful, and fascinating too.
I could do with some Large Blues at the moment. They might help deter the ants that are determined to use my washing line as their main highway between two trees. smile
