I know, we are never satisfied, but a Nature topic without photographs is NBG.

dusty, smile

Sorry the photos aren't better. My camera doesn't like gloomy weather any more than I do. Also, as soon as the shepherd sees me taking photographs of his flock, he tries to make them behave like well mannered, well behaved animals. Goats aren't.

There's a new greenish haze on the meadow,
There's a new greenish haze on the meadow,
The plums were as high as the big, black goat's eye
And the piebald was climbing clear up to the sky...

With apologies to Rogers and Hammerstein!

ah! I see it now. I was too quick! Lovely!

Thank you, soop. We had a memorable holiday on Gigha many years ago. But did you forget to add the photo or has it not loaded properly?

soop Mon 30-Sep-13 11:38:14

Okay. I'm a happy bunny. grin

soop Mon 30-Sep-13 11:35:20

Especially for Elegran
Last night's sunset over the Island of Gigha...which is where Marelli is enjoying a well deserved holiday. smile

Must be a tech problem..hmm

Poppikok Thu 19-Sep-13 19:33:52

No luck there glassortwo so I'll try one from my Desktop...

I now have my new laptop, so lets see if I can master a photo. This was taken in the garden while we were up at the house in August.

Clouds definitely worth sending off to the clouspotters fan club nellie.
Wished I'd had a camera earlier. Student, or possibly an orc spotted, returning from the summer migratory season. Trudging up the hill from the station with his bags. And his battle axe.grin

Fringing?fighting and drinking

Nelliemoser Thu 12-Sep-13 11:53:45

The image quality of that picture seems to have been lost in posting.
I suspect the pixel definition is reduced to save space.

These are "Mammatocumulus" or Mammillary clouds. Taken over Sheffield in Dec 12

soop Thu 12-Sep-13 11:51:32

Galen I'll see you there...grin

Nellie The skeleton in your photograph is very sculptural.

Nelliemoser Thu 12-Sep-13 11:43:16

This lovely ?fish skeleton from Iceland. I was fascinated by the bone structure.

Galen Thu 12-Sep-13 11:22:40

Valhalla is the Viking after world, Valkyries, fringing, wenching, etc:

soop Thu 12-Sep-13 11:08:40

Gally, dear, where is Valhalla? The name rings a distant bell.

Gally Wed 11-Sep-13 16:58:53

Lovely pics soop. Wish I was on a ferry to somewhere - Valhalla perhaps confused

soop Wed 11-Sep-13 16:12:13

The ferry on it's way to the islands of the Inner Hebrides.

soop Wed 11-Sep-13 16:11:20

Yes, dustyangel and here is the latest for you...

dustyangel Wed 11-Sep-13 12:11:25
