When a baby elephant sees the sea for the first time.

Reminds me of a visit to St Andrews Castle the summer after we moved to Oxford from Edinburgh. DD1, age 5, said: "I want to see the sea."
Well, there it is! said I, indicating it with a sweep of my arm.
Her dissatisfied reply: I want to touch it!

We made our way down to the beach. She got wet smile

Oh, lovely! smile I especially like the last photo - it just shouts out the sheer joy and fun that baby elephant is having. Thanks, bags

Hi Bags this post reminded me of these pics of an adult elephant in the ocean that were taken off the coast of Mozambique - it is not widely known that elephants will swim in the sea. For some reason these pics are truly thrilling (well to me anyway). I am often so grateful for the things that are now brought to me via the world wide web, images I may otherwise never have seen. Thanks for posting.
