Chairman of Linden Homes? The Linden Homes about to build 40 homes opposite me and who were so ignorant they did not realise that the raised Causeway that runs through our village is (for some reason) a Listed Building. Certainly a registered Heritage Asset. They planned to dig up the verge that forms part of it and lay a footpath.

.... and they had submitted an Environmental impact survey as part of their submission.

I think they're probably just so arrogant they think they can do whatever they like, if it makes them money.
Green credentials look a bit forged to me!
