Wow! I always thought the only way we would all be on the same side was in the case of an alien invasion. Perhaps there is hope for us yet.

Really interesting. It also makes me think about Kohlberg's, and other theories about the evolution of morality- and how 'conflict' is so useful in effecting the same. I am very grateful that our very mixed families, socially, culturally and from the religious point of view, have forced us (sometimes not very comfortably) to question values and how 'belonging' to a limited group may well be comforting,, but is also tantamount to exclusion too. Thanks for that.

Very nice idea for Christmas. Does beg a few questions though. Presumably fear will mirror fear and aggression mirror aggression. Doesn't take people whose brains lack empathy - psychopaths or people with autistic problems (I am not comparing the two!!)
Interesting though. I hope he's right.
