I was hearing about that on the Today program. Astrophysics is just that little bit too mind boggling. It begs the even more mind boggling question of "so what did the "Big Bang" come from."
Retires to a darkened room to ponder!

The BBT is based on a false premise, the red shift. The Universe is infinite in space and time. While this is incomprehensible to the human mind that does not mean its not true. How could the Universe be otherwise.
