The only way I know of using the extended ascii character set in here is to cut/paste them from my word processor, thus "Ѿ"

From what I heard on the radio El Nino is, like most weather systems, inherently unpredictable so it may occur or it may not.

It's rather reasuring to me that we cannnot control everything in this life.

I used to able to do those subscript and superscript thingamies 15 yrs ago.

I want good a forecast for the summer never mind the winter!!!!

I thought El Niño was the warm phase of the ENSO and La Niña the cool phase.

It was on the BBC news this morning - sorry.

It hasn't been chilly at all where pompa and I live, it's been above 20C most days. Shorts and t-shirts abound. But when it gets cold her, it's nasty. I do hope the forecast is wrong. Please tell me it was the Daily Express, they always get the forecasts wrong!

NotTooOld Wed 13-May-15 10:46:19

Hmm. My winter woollies are still in use, Pompa, not stored away at all. This is a chilly May, wouldn't you say? As for El Nino - how do you get that twizzly thing on top of the N?

AshTree Wed 13-May-15 10:45:53

Stored away? I'm still wearing mine grin

Soutra Wed 13-May-15 10:44:46

Or you may be right [brrr] emoticon
Whenever the pundits forecast a "barbecue summer" I reach for my semmet (ask a Scot what that is) and my wellies!

pompa Wed 13-May-15 10:24:08

They are forecasting El Niño later this year. El Niño usually means very cold winters for us due to high pressure as we had in November/December 2010. So make sure you remember where those have been stored away.

Then again, they could be wrong hmm
