Beautiful

As the farmer sometimes has cattle grazing in the field, my hedge is "cattle proof" (no don't ask me what it is - the farmer recommended it!), so deer don't come into the garden and I have the best of both worlds (sorry for those whose gardens are spoiled by wildlife).

The reason my garden contains mostly wild plants is because roe deer regularly (every few days at least) eat cultivated flowers. I grew tulips one year. They flowered. Next day they'd all been eaten. Smae happens, except even before the flowering, to rambling roses and lots of other things.

Yes, it's nice to watch deer a few feet away from one's house, but it can also be a bit gardener-soul destroying.

Preferable to seeing a deer feeding on yer BizzyLizzies I suppose. Which has been known to happen round here.
