First day of meteorological spring

Seems like a bad joke at the moment, does it not?

I always thought 21March was the first day of Spring - seems a lot more plausible! ❄️☃️?❄️

Fingers are blue
I've had enough winter

Today should be a happy day as Jan and Feb are gone but sadly no - hasn't cheered me up at all sneeze sneeze sneeze again!

Well the Spring equinox ,March 20th is what I class as the proper start of spring ????

First day of spring is definitely the 21st March and I should know as it's my birthday !
My dad always tried to have the first lambs born then and sometimes they were.

It's getting very breezy here and bitterly cold . We seem to be well stocked with food and I am battening down the hatches until the better weather comes. The milkman is still delivering and we have our Breadmaker.

We had a whole flock of Redwings in our garden this morning. Drinking out of the pond. I have never seen them before. It was magical.
