Facebook and the future.

Facebook the company, recently bought a company who designed and made a wrist band which could eliminate the need to type.

To explain, when the body needs to move a muscle for any reason, the directive comes from the brain.

The brain is 'primed' to consider this task and ready the electrical signals necessary to send to the nerves to activate the muscle.

This wrist band can intercept the electrical impulse to ready the arm, wrist, fingers to type before it reaches its destination.

Then send that information directly to the device.

A type of mind reading.

Now, not in some future la la land.

A commercial enterprise has this power.
Will they share it?
What will they do with it?
Who will it benefit, us the plebs?

How possible would it be to reverse the situation, and induce actions not originally from the persons own brain?

Do you mean the wrist band won’t work anytime soon?

Grant you if Facebook want to broadcast ‘fake news’ then it won’t be anytime soon!
But I’m happy if the validity of 1st the article and 2nd the company exists and the product is here.
It’s not in the design stages.
This is a big coupfor Facebook, as they now own the only company making such a thing!

IMV companies like this monopolising certain areas of inovation is a bigger worry than the ‘B’ word!
