New polar bear cub has been born at Highland Wildlife Park, the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) has announced.

cub, about the size of a guinea pig.

It’s never really occurred to me to envy a polar bear, but relative to the size of the mum, giving birth to a Guinea pig sized “baby” must be little more than a f*rt ?grin

It isn't surprising that the cub isn't seen venturing out of the den for months. In the wild, of course, they'd be in a cosy hole in the snow.
