Turtles have quite well developed brains and usually good navigational skills. Why these few turtles arrived here is a mystery.
Presumably they got caught up in strong currents and were too small and weren't strong enough to get back on course.

I'm not sure if the turtle is male or female but it needs to be returned to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and reunited with others so that it can breed instead of spending its life in a tank all alone.
There are only about 7,000 left in the wild.
