King Charles III England Coastal Path

I see that the king was on the South Downs today, which end at the coast in East Sussex. We used to often do that walk. It is highly recommended but a bit too much for DH now with arthritis.

Just back. A beautiful day. We (well DH) are limited to how far we can walk (arthritis in knee) but we tottered along until he’d had enough then stopped - had lunch then tottered back. 😊

That was the coast at Goring - west of Worthing. Not of course a patch with regards scenery of my home county - Cornwall or other glorious areas, but it is flat and with lots of seats, so at 80 suits us very well.

When I look back at what we used to do! Oh well - lucky to do what we do I think.

I'd love to walk some of it having walked some of the Welsh one and the Devon and Cornwall part of England years ago, but, alas, we're not fit enough.

Yes, from Aust to Chepstow, crossing over the M48 Severn Bridge.
Offa's Dyke path also has a connection.

There is also a link in the North, Queensferry to Chester.

I've done the wirral part several times .....West kirby to new brighton....its a lovely walk

We're on the Jurassic Coast, so it goes right past us here.

I am rather envious of you and others like you who are near enough to just pop along and have a stroll along the path. Having been born and bred on a small island I adore the wonderful coastlines. Enjoy your walk.

A great project that’s come to fruition.
Apparently it would take about 2 years to walk around, all in one go. I expect some of us have walked bits of it already.

Yes! There is a new path near us on the south coast. I think it will have extensive use.
